WTCC Previews Released for R3E

wtcc r3e

The World Touring Car Championship is coming to RaceRoom Racing Experience! Sector3 has been working on bringing the 2013 WTCC season to their sim, and they have shown us two cars so far.

First off we have previews of the BMW 320 E90 Touring Car, as run by ROAL Motorsport. Below, we have the previews for the 2013 SEAT León Cupra, as fielded by  Münnich Motorsport. These will be two of the cars in the WTCC pack for R3E, which will be the next pack to be released. While we can expect the full WTCC roster of cars to be included (which includes the Chevrolet Cruze and Honda Civic), there is no indication as to if more of the tracks will be included.

Sector3 has a history of making official WTCC content, stretching back to the Race series as SimBin. They have recreated the 2006-2008, and 2010 seasons of the international touring car championship, so I have faith that they will be able to do this series justice in R3E. Hopefully we will be able to see some sort of livery editor, so you could make your own schemes for these cars as well.

What are your thoughts on the WTCC cars coming to RaceRoom Racing Experience? Let us know in the comments!

  1. I was a big fan of the WTCC series in Race 07 so I’m looking forward to this DLC for R3E. Sector 3 have been very busy little beavers these last couple of months. I’m really looking forward to their next update.

Some North American servers would be welcome for the MP but I can give it a pass for now as I, honestly, don’t do a ton of online racing (though I would like to play this with a few friends online).

Looking forward to driving the Seat Leon again!

This game confuse me with all things, but if I for one some day get the overview of it all and the cars already in (to buy o whatever how to get them) and with MP and Wtcc… It sounds like a lil door back to the dreams of GTR-3, The Extended RaceSeries and what most people wanted. sure got the looks and hopefully aggro feel to place itself as well the devs on poleposition. For the simpleness and comfort of us have the raceseries in our spine: Is it impiossible to make a control-option called “Race-options”? The exact ones i use now, build as it is now. Like adjusting the seats with the mouse forth and back and camerazoom with numpad 7&9 and all the other ones just ported over?.

hi, thx. Thing is i have R3E and I done just a few Apexhunts, so the game is there.
ITs more that im old and want my games in bundles/finished boxes 😉
and abotu the settings, it was that i drown in all options (of wich some i dont even understand or have
buttons enough) but im sure its possible to do quite good with just the basic settings that is in Raceseries and of wich i found a perfect mapping (the most important to reach even 2 200khm on a straight for example 😉 Hope you understood, do you do Race still, if so under what name?

  3. I love this game, especially online. But, I can rarely find anyone online to race with besides the Race Room track, which I personally do not like. That said, you can go into your profile and change your name anytime, I race under Spatial Dragon which in rooms is S. Dragon. You can assign almost any control in the game by double clicking it and then the button you want it to work. Took me a while to ask the right person on that one. Still having trouble in multiplayer with getting the track and then the car I want to accept my clicking to enter said event and then said car. It is in “alpha testing,” some games call it “beta testing,” not sure if there is a real difference. That all said, I too am looking forward to a game on a disc that I can load it and play without so much time and effort. Plug and play does have its appeal.
