Assetto Corsa Modding Update Sept 30th

As we are approaching the final release of Assetto Corsa, the modding community is also really ramping up. We are seeing more and more projects being worked on, and some great cars and tracks being made! I would like to show you some of the new content I’ve seen popping up in the community, and some things you have to look forward to in the near future.

First off, we have some updates from the IER Modding Group and their United SportsCar Championship mod. Patrik Marek (known also for his spectacular looking Nissan Primea BTCC WIP mod) is working on the Porsche 991 GTA, and it is looking awesome so far! It is relatively early in the development, so it is not the final model. However it looks great! The Oreca FLM09 is also making some solid progress at the hands of Paule_NLC. mclarenf1papa (spearheading the whole mod) is claiming that the Oreca will feature the most authentic physics of the entire mod, so it should be something to look forward to as time progresses!

Next up, we have a rather unique situation. Some1 (also known as Siim Annuk) has announced that he is porting his Honda NSX from rFactor to Assetto Corsa. You may notice that the car also looks like the NSX that has been teased for rFactor 2. Well, that is because it is the same car! ISI is collaborating with Some1 to bring the car to rF2, while the car is being brought to Assetto Corsa by him independently. He is also planning on bringing the Chevrolet Corvette C6 to Assetto Corsa, but he is unsure if he will port the Toyota Supra from rF1 yet.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Sareni Camaro GT3 race car, announced by recently-formed ACM Team Modding. ACM only revealed their presence on the Assetto Corsa forums this past Friday, but they’ve made quite a splash with what they’ve been announcing! One of their announcements is a full Blancpain Sprint Series and ADAC GT Masters roster, which includes the Camaro GT3. This car has been teased in a couple videos, and has some of the best V8 sounds I’ve heard in AC! You can check out ACM’s official forums here, to see some more of the cars they are working on (Lamborghini Diablo, anyone?)
