Sector3 Studios has released some new screenshots and details on their latest addition to the RaceRoom Racing Experience ecosystem, DTM Experience 2014. Sector3 (then Simbin) paved new ground last year by becoming the official title of the DTM series and are now back with the necessary updates to mirror the real world 2014 DTM championship.
Not a whole lot of information about the title has been released as of now but through the various social media outlets a few details have emerged. On the content side, DTM Experience 2014 will mirror the real world by swapping out the 2012-2013 BMW M3 with the new (awesome looking) 2014 BMW M4. Naturally, all liveries have also been updated on all three brands to reflect the 2014 season.
On the gameplay side, pit stops, multiple tire compounds and a weight penalty system have been added for the 2014 edition. These additions will bring the title better in line with the real world series and the strategy calls that must be made every race weekend.
An official launch date has not been provided yet but Sector3 has said that it is “coming soon,” so there’s that. With that actual 2014 DTM season in the books, I’m sure Sector3 will be keen to get the simulated season out to us as soon as possible.
In the meantime, enjoy these screenshots and GoPro video showing off the in-game racing action in DTM Experience 2014.

The 2014 BMW is actually called the M4
I originally had M4 but then did a double check just in case and saw some – what I thought was an official website – saying it was still the M3. I knew better. Fixed now, thanks.
Well, there is a M3 which is a sedan. 3-series coupé is now called 4-series. 1-series coupé is also now called 2-series etc. So the DTM racer 2014 is called M4. The 3-series convertible is also called 4-series BTW.
Looking forward to it. I enjoyed DTM 2013, with the new car, new skins and pit stops it’ll be even better.
Wow that whole seat system slides side to side as well as tilting. That is awesome. The game looked very good. I love R3E or Sector3, I just fear that there would not be anyone online to race with. I love the ADAC Blancpain series too, I know off the subject but not totally since it is all one company. I am definitely interested… I hate buying a new game every year and then deleting it for the next one though. The gameplay looks great and I am sure it is as good as it looks, the company does great work… Might dive in early this year.
Dose anyone else here have that white cone/w line through it that hangs in front of you until you get up to speed? and then there is the fact that every time I change it to manual trans and clutch it never takes. I used to really love this title but to much like a game now. I wish I could get the monies back for the cars and tracks that I got sucked in to…..
Never seen that “white cone…” in R3E. Which game? DTM or R3E or? As far as the manual transmission it did that for a while months ago, then I backed out to the R3E or DTM green page and went into options and vehicle settings there and never had any trouble again. As far as money back it does not work that way.
