The team at MAK-Corp have been working on a secret project and now they are ready to show the world. The mod/professional (more on this later) team have unveiled shots of their latest project, the famed McLaren MP4/4 piloted by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost. Not only are they recreating one of the most famous Formula 1 cars ever, they are doing it for both rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa. Atta boys.
MAK-Corp is calling it, “by far the most detailed open wheel race car we have ever developed,” which is significant praise considering the groups history. MAK made a name for themselves during rFactor’s heydays with their Formula 1 mods and have persevered over the years in one form or another, while always putting out quality content. The group has even ventured into the “professional” world with contracts from the likes of ORECA and Formula E to produce content.
The MP4/4 will join other F1 classics from MAK including the MP4/8, MP4/9 and Williams FW26. It will come with additional fantasy liveries to make sure you can race against a full field of cars that aren’t just red and white.
Both the rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa versions will come with built from scratch physics. Due to this, the rFactor 2 version will most likely be released first thanks to MAK’s extensive knowledge of the platform and the learning curve they’re still working through on Assetto Corsa mods. In fact, if you’re an Assetto Corsa physics wizard they are looking for help. You can contact the team here.
It really is fantastic to see a team putting out fantastic content on multiple platforms.

Oh this is awesome news. Looking forward to its release on both platforms!
