First Look and Impressions of Ride by Milestone

Presenting my first look and impressions of Ride by Milestone. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s very similar to one of my favorite motorcycle racing titles, Tourist Trophy that was released on the Playstation 2 by Polyphony.

Tourist_Trophy_(video_game)Tourist Trophy was the Gran Turismo equivalent but with motorcycles instead of cars. I’m honestly surprised they never made a PS3 version of the game, but maybe the sales weren’t all the great. I personally loved the game and as I mentioned in my first look video of “Ride”, I may go back to it someday and do a retro review. You can read up on Tourist Trophy here at the Wiki page devoted to it.

But this is about Ride by Milestone and my first look and impressions. Here’s more information about the title from official Ride website.

So as you can see, Ride is very similar to Tourist Trophy and I had fun with it during my first look. Definitely want to play it more to see if it keeps my interest level peaked.

I would definitely categorize this as a “Simcade” title. Not a sim and not full arcade but a little of both wrapped up into one. The handling, graphics and sounds are very similar to Moto Gp by Milestone. I like the Gran Turismo or Forza like aspect of modifying your bike as you earn credits too.

It will be available on March 27th with two different purchase options.

  1. Sorry, no steering wheel, no care. But I know it is probably really fun. I just don’t use controllers for racing, or anything else. Maybe if the rider did the leaning and I could steer with wheel or something. LOL Okay, I may be a little jealous that I never learned to use a controller. I just lose interest really quickly. Plus they are too easy to throw…
