Imola Historic Coming to Game Stock Car Extreme

Reiza Sudios, developer of Games Stock Car Extreme (GSCE), have released a new video showing off a famous track coming to the title, Bologna Historic.  Bologna not ringing a bell?  The gang at Reiza may be calling it Bologna Historic for copyright reasons but rest assure, this is Imola Historic (the best version), and  its coming to GSCE for your Italian racing pleasure.

Reiza has talked about how difficult it was to find reference material for the track circa 1994 and creating the proper “atmosphere.”  Well based off what I see here, I think they did a pretty damn good job.  And as always with Reiza, the AI is behaving very nicely, not doing anything erratic but not running nose to tail in train form either.

No word on release yet but considering it looks done, or very close to done, it can’t be long.

  1. I picked this title up recently too. It is an older engine, but if they add some longer, more popular tracks it would be nice. The karts are a lot of fun. Too bad they are limited to the kart tracks. The shifters would be great on Imola. I like the Camaros and the “stock cars” meaning the modern more or less V8 Supercars, but still struggling with the seat positioning in them. It just does not move forward enough to get up to the dash in triple screen. I end up having to race from “bonnet position” so I can see, but that is very unsatisfying. The open wheelers are a lot of fun, a bit of a handful on the smaller tracks. Setting up the servers is not too bad, or so my friends tell me. I am not there yet. But usually a few open servers. We use TeamSpeak on a dedicated server and that makes it a lot more fun. Too bad these PC games don’t have a dedicated audio chat in the game, besides iRacing and hopefully Project Cars in the future…

    1. Yes, Tim, I feel your pain regarding the stock cars/triple screen view. Perhaps there’s an .ini file setting we could find to help with that issue. I, too, find myself driving from the bonnet as well. Sort of defeats the purpose of having the 3 screens.

But, overall, this is one of my favorite sims. Tons of content (even more, counting mods) and I love the physics and FFB at the expense of the somewhat dated graphics. But, too good a game to not be part of a sim fan’s library.

      1. I am using 30 in the fov for now. It is just odd the way the movement is limited in back and forth. I should be able to go from -100 to +100 from default, or why is it there? I am getting some of the bigger tracks added, but some of them are unusable even though there are servers with them open. Just won’t enter. Needs to be cleaned up and update I guess.

  2. I Fully Agree about the seat position in the car’s. I DO drive from the front seat (drivers) position, and it makes a little bit of a chore to run at racing speeds in the Sim.
