Live presentations have become popular for game developers in recent times, with many doing live sessions on Twitch and YouTube to show off their latest efforts.  But in the world of Periscope and other sharing apps, sometimes people want to see something a little rawer.  How does coding sound?

That’s what Assetto Corsa’s Lead Developer Stefano Casillo had in mind when he kicked off ‘Look What the Cat Hacked In’, a series of videos that take a real time look at the coding of Assetto Corsa.

While coding may not be the sexiest thing in the world, it’s interesting watching Stefano’s process.  In episode two, Stefano focuses on the AI, a sticking point for many Assetto Corsa users.  AI is certainly one of the hardest elements of a game to program and Stefano walks through some of the title’s current challenges and how he looks to solve them.

Hopefully Stefano will keep the videos coming and allow the hardcore fans – the first two episodes have been 1.5+ hours – to see more of the behind the scenes Assetto Corsa goodness.
