The not-quit-as-great-as-previously-anticipated rally-off of 2015 is on.  While the Early Access version of DiRT Rally has been picking up all the headlines, WRC 5 has been laying in wait, sharpening it’s claws, and is now it’s for the fight.  Kylotonn Games has announced that the official rally title of the FIA World Rally Championship will become available on October 9th in France, Germany, Belgium and the rest of the world on October 16th.

Why early in those three countries?  Who knows!  My only guess is to focus marketing resources in those key markets.

While the release of WRC 5 is a month away for many of us, it doesn’t mean we’ll have to wait that long to drive the rally cars of the 2015 season.  Kyltonn have stated that they are releasing a demo before release for all of us to try out.  When?  Kylotonn isn’t letting us know yet, but if I had to guess, sometime around October 1st would make the most sense.

When WRC 5 is released – in demo or full version – it will be released on nearly every platform created the past decade, aka, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 & 4, PS Vita and PC.  The closest thing the Nintendo gets to rally is Mario Kart…

  1. Here we go again, the release dates are for every country BUT the USA / NTCS format. WRC 1, 3, and 4 were all region locked. I was told that WRC 2 PAL was not locked, but all DLC is? Please do not get the hopes of the American market up on this sight. This is not the first time ISR has gotten the American market all excited just to leave us disappointed in the end?

    Is there hope?
