Presenting our report on Simatok from the Sim Racing Expo 2015. European Correspondent, Andreas Nie, gives us some background on the Simatok simulator and even takes it for a spin.

At 90,000 Euros(!), Simatok is intended for rental by professional drivers or hardcore fans.  Or if you’re really hardcore, and have deep pockets, you can pick one up for yourself.

And if that’s the case then can I be your friend?

Watch to see what Andreas thought of the ultra high-end Simatok simulator.

  1. I think it’s horrible the amount of speed indicators and lights they put on this. It’s so confusing! Weren’t the in-game leds enough? I too have the chance to use a second led shifter with my Fanatec Formula – but I don’t even come close to use it if the car I choose in GTR2 has an in-built cockpit rev lights and gear indicator.
It shouldn’t be Xmas everyday – and for a reason.

…I can’t remember Emanuele Pirro had so many panels to check while driving its R8 in the ALMS serie back in 2000. Yet everybody can say it was the most realistic driving experience. So, accordingly, I think we should stick to simplicity if we really want to sim-race properly.
