  1. Weeks? I plan on being thru all of the game a few times by then. But does it work in triples? I would assume it does, but assuming does not always work out well…

    1. Bad news… Triples didn’t work on PC demo, and frame rates on single monitor (GTX 970) were poor and inconsistent. Also many mixed reports of controller compatibility issues, won’t detect pedals/shifters not plugged in to the wheel base.

      1. Yeah, I had the demo. But that is not the full game. My frame rates with a GTX 780 4Gb ran with frame rates near 100 fps. My T500 wheel “worked” but not my TH8A or button boxes. I really think it is a console game, but I could not find it on PS store in US. I can’t even find any new videos on YouTube from people to show how the game works for them… Just pre-release stuff.

    1. 60 fps per second without a single frame drop. No lag, no stutter. This game runs like butter. Dirt rally had wayyyyy worse optimization. However, dirt rally graphics are way more detailed.

      I7 6600, r9 390

      1. Post a video then, there is not a single video on youtube that shows this game running fluidly. Not one. I’ve looked.. i5 4690k at 4.4 2x R9390x and 144hz Freesync monitor here…And uh, there is no such thing as a i7 6600.. An i5 yes, or an i7 6700.. The i5 6600 is a skylake vs the 4690k haswell. Pretty evenly matched cpu’s with the i5 6600 taking the edge but not enough to warrant disparaging performance impact.

I’m going to see you on your bullshit and challenge you to post a video. 1920×1080 is considered a minimum gaming resolution and you cannot use low textures and 2gb track textures min.. though with 8 gigs of graphics memory you should be able to use the 4gb selection without. The only graphics option off should be AF or whatever that top one is.

A guy was bragging about good frames and he was playing at 720.. what a joke.

        1. Hey dude it was a typo, i5 6600.
And I am not gonna post a video to prove you right because you are just clueless in regard to this game.
This game runs much better than Dirt Rally right of the bat.
I have it at 1080p obviously and I have it maxed out at all graphic section.

All In all, this game is quite weak in terms of graphical power. It is a nice looking game but nothing major that could slow down r9 390.

          1. Whats funny is I run Dirt Rally at 2550×1440 with everything cranked except one setting, i cannot remember what it was but it made my trees really funny so i had to turn it down.

Dirt Rally runs far better than this game And your right it should not be demanding on hardware, like said i’m getting 75-100 FPS and i use a freesync monitor @ 144hz meaning the need for vertical sync on or off no longer exist (does not matter what setting i try thought)

I spare no expense on my computer which is why i’m so pissed this game runs like it does. I’ve yet to see a video showing it run smooth, including the devs own videos and trailers. There is a persistent stutter that I and many other users are experiencing, in fact frame rate issues seem to be a constant.

There a a few, very few like you who claim the game runs perfect. And i wonder what setting where, is causing this.

I had a single R9 390 before I went to my 390x’s and before that a 970. Only reason have the two now is i got a deal on them, a really good deal.. $200 apiece from a friend.

Sold my R9 390 for $250 online.. paid less for a single X than i got for my 390, but that friend just has tons of money and did not care. He’s running IIRC now, 4x 980TI’s.. kids got money.. i dont haha.

Even ISRTV’s vidoes show the issue yet i’m sure if they show the frame rates you will see they are stable but the stutter persident.

Older pic of pc but its not some crappy setup, my case is a 900D which cost more than most peoples video cards.

          2. I don’t know how to help you with the stutter issue. I really had not a single FPS drop through entire race. I choose vsync and it is a strong 60-61 FPS at all times.

And like I said, this game does not really have demanding graphics like Dirt Rally.

Also, this is not an arcade racing. It is a half simulation half arcade. The only arcade thing about this game is car physics when it goes to a ditch or flies high in the air.

Car handling is a lot like classic Colin McRae

I did update all my AMD drivers to beta.

          3. I finally fixed it. For whatever reason Milestone’s Vsync optimization, coding or however they handle it is just not up to par. Even with a 144hz monitor with Vsync on it was stuttering, so i ended up using a 3rd party application called Radeon Pro. Dynamic Frame Rate Control, Vsync On (in RP) locked at 60 with forced triple buffering and forced GPU to run at 100% clock instead of down throttling. Games perfect now and feels much better now that i’ve got it running right.

          4. Also I remember I used to get stutter issue in other games due to usb input controller.

Some controllers need more power and will make the games stutter

          5. Admittedly I’m frustrated, i want a easier to play arcade game and this game does deliver that, its fun and simple to drive. I prefer dirt for after my adderall has kicked in, and SLRE when its wearing off lol.

And it annoys me that your system is so similar but apparently has no issues. So you can sit and say i have no clue yet here I am with a decent rig that runs every game I throw at it without a flaw, except this one.
