PEAK, maker of automobile fluids, and iRacing have teamed up to offer one talented sim racer the chance to drive a real-life stock car at Charlotte Motor Speedway as part of the PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge. So how do you go from your rig to a real-life stock car? Simple, win the iRacing Season One PEAK Stockcar Challenge Series. Okay, not so simple, there’s aliens out there. The series is essentially the old National series rebranded for the contest featuring the Chevrolet Impala (that use to be the Nationwide B car). The series runs from now until April 21st (Season 1) and the points leader after 12-weeks will be sent to Charlotte for a real-world driver combine starting June 9, 2014.
If you don’t win the series but run the PEAK logo on your car for 10 or more official races then you’ll become eligible for awards, with the top award being an Obutto R3volution chassis (we reviewed here) and a PC from Main Performance PC. That’s pretty awesome.
It’s always good to see opportunities for talented sim racers to get a shot at the real thing, and based off of recent history, have a good chance of being quick.
