2014 Nascar PEAK Antifreeze Series Powered by iRacing is Off and Running

Following last months announcement, iRacing has released it’s first promo video featuring the NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series powered by iRacing (NPAS) branding.  The series features 40 of the best virtual oval drivers in the world and kicked off two weeks ago at Daytona with NPAS rookie Kenny Humpe taking the win.

Last week at iRace4Life in Dallas, TX, Darin caught up with a number of people involved in the NPAS.  In session 1 (at the 15:00 min. mark), Darin spoke with 2-time iRacing NASCAR World Champion Ray Alfalla about his close battle with eventual champion Tyler Hudson (who we interviewed at the NASCAR Hall of Fame last December), the creation of his new team and how tight the NPAS field is.

In the final session, Darin caught up with iRacing’s Director of Sales and Marketing Otto Szebeni who discussed how the three-year sponsorship deal came to fruition with PEAK.  Along with Otto, Darin interviewed two NPAS competitors, Landon Harrison (who shows off his 13 year old (!) Sidewinder wheel and pedals) and Brian Schoenberg, who both shared how they prepare for the ultra competitive series.

The second race of the 2014 campaign is tonight from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  The race can be watched live at iRacing Live at 9:00 pm edt (1:00 gmt).
