Assetto Corsa Update 0.8.6, 0.8.7 & Jason’s Hotlaps

Following update 0.8.5 last Friday, Assetto Corsa has now released two smaller updates in the form of update 0.8.6 and 0.8.7.  Update 0.8.6 fixed a couple of default launcher theme issues.  Update 0.8.7 featured some improvements including improved AI and graphics optimizations.  It also contained bug fixes to the Race weekend output and force feedback vibration for a stationary McLaren MP4-12C GT3.  The entire changelog can be seen below:

0.8.6

– Default launcher theme: fixed lap number for special events not updating

– Default launcher theme: various UI element placement adjustments

0.8.7

– Fixed Race weekend output

– Improved AI

– Improved AI Fuel evaluation

– Fixed FF vibration with stationary car (Mclaren GT3)

– Graphics optimizations

And one more thing…  Jason’s been pumping out videos over at the Inside Sim Racing Extras YouTube page, including a couple of hot lap videos of the BMW Z4 GT3 at the Nurbrugring and the Lotus Evora GTC at Imola.  Check them out!

  1. Thanks for the videos!

I recommend using RSR LiveTIming though. You can use it along with the Rivali timing app if you want. There are simply more players on RSR. For instance 710 compared to 230 for Rivali on the Z4 GT3/Nurburgring combo.
