We love when we see a new face in our community, and we also enjoy seeing people designing awesome cockpits. We got the best of both worlds when new user jem454 showcased his rig on our forums. He decided to give sim racing a try, and felt that he wanted to make his first rig an awesome one.
In lieu of a new PC build, jem454 decided to create a DIY rig out of wood. He then decided to take things one step forward and create a DIY motion setup, powered by SimTools. In favor of a more reliable setup, he decided to go for a Logitech G27 with inverse mounted pedals. He also has a video of his daughter testing out the rig in rFactor 2.

I’d like to thank jem454 for showing us his awesome rig! For more information about the rig, and to also drop him some props, check out his forum topic here.

That’s some first rig! 😀
Great start for a first rig there bro, just one little piece of advice if you don’t mind. I noticed that you have a lot of movement on that upper bracket where the two arms bolts to the seat, if you can secure the bracket from moving you will have a better racing experience. P.S. That’s on heck of a first rig, be very proud of yourself.
