Project CARS Ariel Atom @ Oschersleben Test Drive

Presenting our Saturday test drive. This week Darin takes Project CARS for a spin which is still in development and will be available for the PC, PS4, XBox One and Wii U by the end of 2014.

The car for this test drive, the Ariel Atom 500 and the track, Oschersleben Motorsports Arena.

First laps are over the shoulder captured with a camera and then some direct in game capture follow.

AMD 6 Core @ 3.5 Ghz
16 Gigs of Corsair Vengeance Ram
NVidia GTX 780 TI Card running 3 ASUS 22″ monitors @ 120hz
Thrustmaster TX with GTE Rim and T500 Pedals

  1. Darin how does it compare graphically with assetto corsa. Its just
    through youtube it looks really similar and i don’t have p cars myself
    to find out?

    1. In my thurstmaster profiler – Constant and Periodic at 100%, overall forces at 85. I have damper set to 5%, Center Spring 0.. In game I think I was at 100 FFB, 120 Tire force.

  2. Darin – I’m interested in the Sim Instruments setup as I also have a TX. What is the configuration that you have? Is that the Dash Surface Mount?

    1. I’m just using a piece of 80-20 and an L bracket to attach the dash. It looks like it’s on the wheel, but I have it right above.

        FYI – I actually contacted the SimInstruments folks and they said that the Dash Surface Mount itself might work on the TX if I was willing to bend the aluminum. They said it is flexible and probably would work.
