Broadspeed Jaguar XJ12C ETCC 1977 v0.2

r2nrm8

Say that entire name five times fast!  If you’re looking for a hoonable Jaag, you’ve come to the right place.  Andy Riches has released v0.2 of his built from scratch 1977 Broadspeed Jaguar XJ12C ETCC.  Even though this is only v0.2, its very driveable in its current form.  Will be fun monitoring this cars development.  All the info you need to know is below.  You can download it here.

Some specs of the car:

-gearbox: 4 gear stick shift manual

-naturally aspirated 5.4litre V12 engine. 600hp@7500rpm

-cockpit adjustable arbs (hopefully ac will support this some day)

-front wheels were using single bolt attachment system like all sportscars do nowadays

-independent suspension on all corners

-19 inch wheels and low profile slicks tires

-water bottle in the cockpit so you can spray water into the front brakes to cool them down

-inboard brakes on the rear

-walnut dahsboard

-non fia approved rollcage

Known issues:

-driver position is wrong

-sounds are placeholders from kunos’ 599

-there are no lods so driving in full fields of jaguars may slow down your fps

-brake bias can be adjusted beyond setup limits with the cockpit adjuster. Why that is I don’t know… yet…

-some minor physics bugs which are really small and don’t cause any issues. Like fuel tank is accidentally placed in cog when it should be in the trunk, rear suspension has 0.001 error in upper a-arm position.

Paul Ricard v0.5.2

V5_03

Starck3D has released v0.5.2 of the popular French circuit, Paul Recard HTTT (High Tech Test Track).  The track utilizes real height data, tracing and satellite data.  Its good to see such a well known track come to Assetto Corsa, especially since they’re aren’t very many digital versions of it out there. Paul Recard HTTT can be downloaded here.

New in v0.5.2:

-Collision between the track and car fixed.

-Now compatible with DX10 graphic card.

-Memory size optimized.

Mazda 787B Martini Skin Pack 2.0

I don’t usually consider skin packs “news worthy” but this Martini livery skin pack for the recently released Mazda 787B mod is gorgeous and everyone must know!  After you finish drooling you can download it here.

      1. That is a different way to get to the files then I use, very different, but we get to same place. You did go a little fast, but it is nice that you showed how to. Some of us did not have computers until recently. Again, thank you for showing a way to do it. I had no idea you could do it that way. I start on the start button and open computer and go thru that way. Probably slower than your way.

  1. Yeah its easy. Download the mod and just put the files contained in the download in the corresponding places in your install. Fire up the game and enjoy! 🙂

  2. Would have rather seen the window view or roof top view and sound of the cars for the Pikes Peak, but I am looking forward to hooning up that road. Always happy to try new cars. Just hate never using half my garage.
