Last month, we already already talked about some new cars coming to Assetto Corsa. Now, we know that three of those cars will be released “very soon” – The Mazda 787B, the Mazda Miata N/A (or MX-5 N/A, depending where you are from) and the Porsche 911 RSR 2017. Most likely, console users will have to wait a little longer.
The Mazdas
Marco Massarutto, Kunos Simulazioni’s Licensing Project Manager, who is also famous for posting content teasers ahead of release, announced that the three cars were coming “very soon” on his Facebook page.
Both Mazdas started out as mods for Assetto Corsa. The 787B was developed by Patrik Sander, David Dominguez & elMariachi90 and the MX-5 by the PURE Team.
Kunos Simulazioni will now be bringing reworked versions with real data provided by the manufacturers to Assetto Corsa as free bonus content for everyone to enjoy.
The Porsche
The Porsche 911 RSR 2017 was supposed to be in the Porsche Pack III from the beginning, but Kunos was not able to make the release date, so buyers got a 911 Turbo S instead – could be worse.
Now, the RSR will be available “very soon” too, as an additional update to the Porsche Pack III. So, in the end, Porsche Pack III or Porsche Season Pass owners ended up with one car more than expected. A very pleasant way of handling delays.
