A while back, when Dakar 18 was more or less announced straight out of the blue, we really knew nothing about the game. Frankly, this has not really changed, but the latest teasers reveal some of the features the game will have to offer and also nicely showcase the game’s development progress!
Teasers? More Than One?
You bet! Over the last couple of days, Bigmoon Studios was busy posting lots of teasers over on the game’s official Twitter account.
The latest one for example shows that you won’t only be able to explore the desert on four/ two wheels, but on foot as well!
Sometimes we really need to take a look around to get our bearings straight… It’s easy to get lost in the desert. And Dakar is not only about driving.#dakar #game #rally #playstation #xbox #pc #player #singleplayer #multiplayer #deepsilver #bigmoon #aso pic.twitter.com/yTxdWyAM1q

For spectacular replays, a helicopter cam will also be available

To put some emphasis on the simulation aspect, here is a clip from the cockpit of Stéphane Peterhansel’s Peugeot 3008 DKR.

Some two-wheel action was also shared.
Do you think you’ll be able to manage the roadbook while still keeping an eye on the (non-existent) road? It’s not an easy challenge! pic.twitter.com/WWLKlyP7Be

To showcase just how rough the desert can be, a view from the left front tire!

And then of course, the weather system!

Dakar Rally is the longest and most demanding race in the world. The merciless environment is your biggest obstacle. And the weather can make obstacles even harder to overcome. pic.twitter.com/Wq8pfQlZln
