Forza Horizon 3 gains another seven car DLC pack for 2017! The Rockstar Car Pack features seven new cars which, once again, is an eclectic mix of old and new cars to tackle the urban Aussie roads with.
The seven new cars are mostly European models, starting with the revolutionary looking carbon-fibered body Hybrid 2015 BMW i8, which is an all-wheel drive car, electric at the front wheels with a turbo charged 1.5 litre conventional engine driving the rear wheels.
The 2015 Volvo V60 Polestar Wagon is a 345bhp road-going daily driver. The wagon is an unassuming wolf in sheep’s clothing and should be able to keep up with some of the quickest cars on Aussie roads. The sedan version of the Volvo racing devision was a direct answer to the dominant Holden and Ford V8 Supercars. When it raced, it was a competitive car and won several rounds of the V8 Supercar championships.
One of my favourite cars, road or track, the 2015 Radical RXC Turbo is a road legal racing car! With a strong aero package and a powerful Ford 3.5-liter Ecoboost engine, this cool looking car will hit 175 mph with 60 coming up in under three seconds!
A car close to my heart is the 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO Phase 4, although not as raw as the XY GT-HO, it did conjure the spirit of the car it should have replaced in 1972. This car never made it to production as public opinion determined the fate of this 160 mph family car and the Australian government stepped in to block its production. Only one example was ever built and the car was never homologated for the classic Bathurst 1972 Hardie-Ferodo 500!
The 1987 Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31) Nissan wanted to race in Group A in 1987, no less than 500 ‘Evolution’ models were to be manufactured in order to retain eligibility to race. The Nissan GTS-R was one of the first turbo charged cars to compete in the classic Bathurst 1000 km race at the famous Mount Panorama circuit in New South Wales.
On to Baja, the 2014 Ford #11 Rockstar F-150 Trophy Truck driven by off-road specialists, Rob MacCachren, Andy McMillin and Jason Voss was able to take victory in the annual Baja 1000 race held at Mexico’s California peninsula. The margin with which the powerful 850 bhp Ford won the event was a staggering 30 minutes!
One of the two newest cars of the seven, the 2016 Bentley Bentayga, is a SUV to rival all others for comfort, performance and prestige. Most owners of this luxury vehicle will likely be driven in the car, rather than getting behind the wheel to sample the judicious 600 bhp of this uber-expensive SUV!

EDIT 03-01-2017:
Unfortunately for PC players of Forza Horizon 3, we have now learnt of a glitch that has affected the update process for the PC version of the game. The usual ritual of hitting the link to update the game and downloading a typically sized package had been replaced with a massive 53 GB download! Since it was discovered, Turn 10 have been working on the issue and posting updates on their forum which can be found here. Turn 10 also suggests players cancel the download immediately.
