Reiza Studios has released a new preview video for Game Stock Car Extreme, showing off more technical advances coming to their sim. This time, they are focusing on tire and chassis physics, bringing Game Stock Car to a whole new level of realism.

This new preview shows the Formula Extreme driving around Buenos Aires 15, and some things are evident right off the bat. The tires now dynamically flex in turns and going over curbs and dynamically show wear and flatspotting. Dirt gets picked up when the tires go off track, and will authentically affect grip levels. All advancements in the new Game Stock Car tire model will be integrated directly with the physics engine. As you progress through the video, you will also notice that the front and rear wings vibrate and shake under load, which is not recreated in many other sims. This looks to be a cool feature, if not a little overdone in my opinion, but it could be a little exaggerated for display purposes.
Some more under-the-hood upgrades are being brought to Game Stock Car Extreme, that will definitely squeeze every ounce out of the ISIMotor 2 engine. Reiza is working on completing the advanced drivetrain model, including fully working ERS and turbo modelling, as well as a realistic transmission. All elements are still in a WIP state, and will likely be improved over time.
Reiza has done an amazing job injecting life into a rather dated engine, and it makes you wonder what they would do if they got their hands on the rFactor 2 (ISIMotor 2.5) engine. Could we see a Game Stock Car title with the rF2 engine in the future?

This is absolutely the single most underrated racing sim on the market today. Every race sim fan should have this game in their library (especially since it’s only about $30).
The physics, FFB, AI & sound are all top notch. And, for the game engine’s age, it doesn’t look bad either.
Reiza Studios has done a terrific job with this sim. And hopefully some day in the future we’ll get to see what they can do with a next gen sim. In the meantime I’ll continue to enjoy GSCE.
Love love love the wing oscillations. I agree, it looks a little off/possibly over done but not by much. Really great stuff by the GSCE team.
