Gran Turismo 6 Volkswagen VisionGTI Trailer Released

Polyphony Digital has released 2 Vision GT cars for Gran Turismo 6, with collaboration from Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Next month, a third car will make its way to the Playstation 3 title, this time coming from Volkswagen. A new trailer and website for the Volkswagen VisionGTI has been released, showing off the radical concept car.

The Volkswagen VisionGTI Roadster is based off of the popular GTI hatchback, and brings it into the future. The car will be powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine producing 503 horsepower through a 4WD system, mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The VisionGTI features sleek lines a large rear wing.

The VW VisionGTI will make its way to GT6 in June. A full-scale model of the car will also be revealed tomorrow at the Wörthersee Festival. For more information, you can check out the car’s official website.

  1. Yes, it’s the latest, available since june 2014.

    But don’t worry — the driver will still look like he’s a robotic pile of hardware unable to achieve even the simplest of wheel rotations. 😉

  2. This one will have a dash? WOW. I guess with a convertible they almost had to add one.
    Yes it is a cool looking car, you can see bits of Lambo, Caddy, Aston… But it is unique enough to be create a buzz. I figured since they built the Veyron that it would look like one, but it does not. I look forward to winning the car, and we will see if it is any good. Gran Turismo 6 has SO many other problems that they need to address and they keep saying they are adding more content, yet where are the things they promised us a year ago? Still no track creator, and Bathurst’s sound is still messed up… Just saying…
