Check out this preview video of Dave Kaemmer's new tire physics model. Iracing is saying that it's the biggest leap forward in sim racing since Grand Prix Legends. Based on a conversation I had with Dave a while back about the basis of the current tire model. He said most a lot of it was from GPL.
This is slated to be released this Wednesday April 27th based on a forum post on iRacing stating the service will be down for maintenance for the new build. That should include the new tire model on the Nationwide along with Okayama and the updated Skip Barber model.
