Ferrari Coming to Project Cars 2

The Prancing Horse will be galloping its way to Project Cars 2 this fall. 10 of the iconic cars will be making their way to the game.

2015 LaFerrari

The road going evolution of Ferrari is well represented and starts with the 2015 LaFerrari, this being the most powerful road going Ferrari ever made. The car losing out to this great car was the once top of the pile Enzo Ferrari, every boyhoods dream, and a car on a lot of bedroom walls.

2002 Enzo Ferrari

The Enzo Ferrari was responsible for bringing the Formula 1 technology to the road. Using lots of carbon fibre and very expensive ceramic brakes. This car was a beast, and was made even quicker using technology from the F1 industry which was banned by the FIA. Namely Active Aero, Traction Control and a Computer Activated Wing! The design of the Enzo is actually a predecessor of the 1995 Ferrari F50 and in Project Cars 2 you will get the GT version of this rare car! So rare that only 3 F50GTs were ever made. With racing in mind these cars never got the chance to race in anger due the GT series they were designed to run in deceased. So you will be able to experience just how fast these cars were.

Ferrari F40 GT LM

The Ferrari F40 GT LM was to be nicknamed the last “analogue” car built by Ferrari. This car had no ABS, no Traction Control and a 5 speed manual gearbox. Complete with a 720bhp V8 pushing it along the road. A true drivers car.

Ferrari 288 GTO

A car F40 was the bases of the 288 GTO which is another car you will be able to drive in Project Cars 2. The 288 GTO was the first Ferrari to be built to meet the golden era of the 300kph club.

The 288 was another special car built for one purpose…..racing! Again more GT racing and specifically the infamous “Group B” era. Unfortunately for Ferrari by the time they got the car homologated, Group B was no more. So yet another car sadly not raced. However we are left with one of the worlds fastest production cars to drive in Project Cars 2.

Ferrari 330 P4

We move onto the racing side of Ferrari in Project Cars 2. Arguably one of the most beautiful cars ever created by Ferrari. The 330 P4.

The 330 P4 won emphatically at Daytona which lead on to a name which stuck with Ferrari, the 1968 Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4. More GT cars that Ferrari were perhaps reluctant to build. However a small private team raced these cars in their stock form and had some impressive results. Ferrari then built factory GT Daytona’s to compete in 3 different series of GT racing in the 70s. These cars in 3 varying liveries, with low bodies, wide sticky slick racing tyres are coming to Project Cars 2.

Ferrari decided to withdraw from Endurance Racing in 1973 to concentrate on its F1 development program. The success of this program and help with MoMo and Dallara encouraged Ferrari to continue with their endurance program and in the 1994 24hr Daytona a car was unveiled.

Ferrari 333SP

With F1 technology this car would go on and dominate IMSA that year and bring Ferrari back to endurance racing.

Ferrari 488

The now ageing 458 Italia would now be superseded  by the 488. You will have 2 of these cars to try out in Project Cars 2. The 3.9ltr V8 GT3 and the GTE variants.

The 488 GTE claimed successful results at the 2016 24hr Le Mans and 2017 24hr Daytona. The 488 GT3 is Ferrari’s entry into the world of GT racing competing against some of the worlds most iconic sports cars. Most of which you will be able to drive in Project Cars 2.

So to summarise, here is a list of the Ferrari’s that you will be able to drive in Project Cars 2.
