Sector3 Studios has announced that the Audi TT is coming to RaceRoom. No, not that Audi TT, but the VLN version. Not only is it a different take on the TT, it’s also the prior generation TT, compared to the latest and greatest that runs in the heavily factory backed TT Cup.
So why do we need the previous gen VLN TT when we already have the current gen Cup car? There’s a couple potential answers.
First, the car is slightly different from the Cup car. Power and torque are up a bit to 380 hp and 390 lb-ft – 310 hp in Cup car – and weight is slightly less. It looks different…?
Then there’s the straight cash homie answer. RaceRoom has a tendency to package content and the VLN part paired with a little track in Germany that the series runs on may be the key. Can you say VLN car pack released along side with the Nordschliefe? That could be tasty.
If that’s the plan (new Audi TT car with Nordschleife) all I can say is: TAKE MY MONEY!
