Back in January we talked about the Changing Face of the Rally Title World. The idea of the article was to set up the head-to-head match-up between Bigben Interactive and Kylotton Games WRC 5 versus the former WRC license holder, Milestone, and their Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo (SLRE).
Little did we know then but Codemasters was laying low and secretly developing DiRT Rally. Since its Steam Early Access release the community has been heaping on the praise and declaring it the next must have rally title. But what about WRC 5 and SLRE? In fact, they are alive and Bigben has released the announcement trailer for WRC 5.

What do we learn from the trailer? Well, not a whole lot. We know there’s going to be a Ford Fiesta, but besides a video of the VW Polo R, we haven’t seen any of the other cars in game. The video does show off a good variety of tracks but that’s about it. Guess they’re playing their cards close to their chest…
Hopefully we’ll see more soon, especially considering how the October release month (no specific date yet) is fast approaching. WRC 5 will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Really enjoying the rally games. Have to wait and see. 🙂
I’m not sold on this at all. Looks like it has ridiculous grip.
Pretty sure the video is sped up. It does look a bit silly though.
