Many sim racers are eagerly anticipating the release of rFactor 2’s Dallara DW12, set to come out in the next couple days. However, ISI has released another new car for us to drive, the 2014 Formula Renault 3.5. This free car is an updated version of the 2010 FR3.5, and includes many technical advancements.
The 2014 Formula Renault is powered by a Zytek Engineering V8 engine, which generates 530bhp. The powerplant is mated to a Ricardo six-speed transmission, which utilizes a pneumatic system instead of the more common hydraulic system. The car also features some advances in the aerodynamics department, including a functional Drag Reduction System.
