Kunos Simulazioni have unveiled the cars and track that will make up the forthcoming Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 2. As we already knew, the road-going C7 Corvette and Mustang GT will be included in the pack, along with the fictional Black Cat County track which had previously been teased with the cars. Black Cat will arrive in three configurations and sounds more like a closed circuit track than a point-to-point stage as we had thought.
The little surprise of the pack – pun intended – is the Fiat Abarth 595, because you can never have enough Fiat’s in Assetto Corsa.
The other little surprise of the announcement is the pricing. All four pieces of content will be free on the PC, as expected. On the console, the Fiat and Black Cat will be free, but the Corvette and Mustang have been rolled into the pre-order ‘Prestige Pack’ which will be available from select retailers. See PC racers, the world isn’t entirely against you, both sides get the short straw from time-to-time.
Also interesting is the status of update 1.5. Previously, Kunos announced that the Bonus Pack would be released alongside 1.5. But with the announcement of the Bonus Pack, there is no mention of 1.5.
Will we see it on March 31st when the Bonus Pack is released? Good question.
