One of the major additions to Assetto Corsa was the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG, and it’s GT3 racer counterpart. Now, PBerger has decided to bring a rather unique variant to the mix. He decided that he would like to design his own “successor” to the SLS, and bring it to life in Assetto Corsa. The “2016 SLS AMG” has been progressing at a staggering pace, with amazing results. He has just released his first in-game preview, showing off the car in the showroom.
The design for this SLS is inspired by the modern range of Mercedes-Benz cars, namely the S Class and C Class. It features an aggressive design with new sleek curves, while still maintaining the trademark look we’ve come to know out of Mercedes-Benz’s flagship car. I would assume that the car would be powered by the 6.3L V8, similar to what the current SLS AMG has under the hood.
This project was first announced only nine days ago, and has gone from a few sketches and a very basic model to a very nice exterior model. The interior of the SLS has not been started yet, but if the exterior is any indication, it will be a sight to behold. It will be interesting to see if he goes for a more “futuristic” approach, or just keeps with what the real life car has.

It looks pretty much like the other one. Little differences, but nothing that makes me go WOW.
I’m not a Merc fan but if this looks like “the other one” then all the Audis, VWs and BMWs are just the same!
So what is the BIG difference?
That Audi Vw Bmw are even worse…it’s the German style the last 6-7 years…Their small categories look like the bigger and so on…at least the new cars from Mercedes are more sport and have a youthful design…

Look again guys…quite a few differences.
I don’t personally drive the original one in the sim because I tend to like cars which are more neutral or those that tend to oversteer.
Power on oversteer happens at the drop of the hat the last time I tried the SLS in AC.
