R3E Reality Check: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Sector3 Studios has released a new video comparing their version of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in RaceRoom Racing Experience (R3E) to the real-world version.  The game play is amazingly accurate compared to the real world footage, with only a couple minor differences, such as the surrounding vegetation (those jerky waving flags in R3E don’t help either…not a fan).  I know Mid-Ohio isn’t a new track but I continue to be more and more impressed by R3E and this video is just another example why.

Speaking of U.S. tracks, a new one was released earlier this week.  Sonoma Raceway in the Sonoma Valley of Northern California can now be purchased.  Like Mid-Ohio, the track looks great.  You can purchase Sonoma Raceway here.

  1. I think Sector3 has done a terrific job with their tracks. I’ve got Mid-Ohio and the newly released Sonoma (Infineon Raceway) and like them both a lot. Really looking forward to Nordshliefe as well. I’m sure that’ll be terrific.

    Keep the content coming, S3S!

  2. Love the sound and fury of this game, but holding back on buying anything else in this title for now. Looks great though.

    1. I already had this track for a long time. I saw Steam had some money on it, so I did buy Sonoma. It looks real nice and drives well. I was surprised people were there it being an U.S. track and all.
