The EnduRacers Modding Team have released new images of the Ligier JS P2 prototype car coming to rFactor 2 via the Endurance Series mod and damn does it look good. The Ligier is the first new car that we get to see for the rFactor 2 version of the Endurance Series, with the previous screenshots showing cars upgraded from rFactor.
The Onroak Automotive Ligier JS P2 began racing in 2014 and has become a popular customer car, running in multiple series around the world such as the World Endurance Championship, European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series and the United SportsCar Championship. Contributing to its popularity is the chassis’ flexibility. The 2,000 lb (900 kg) car has been powered by a V8 Nissan and Judd and a turbocharged V6 Honda engine by six different teams around the world. Clearly, flexibility is good for the bottom line.
Even though I’m sure fans of this mod will be wanting this car, like, yesterday, it will not be out with the original release of the Endurance Series mod for rFactor 2. On the bright side, maybe that means the mod is showing up sooner than later…
