O. M. G. Sector3 Studios has dropped the hammer and released a boat load of stunning images featuring the #soon to be released Nordschleife. Over the past year, we’ve waxed on poetically about Assetto Corsa’s and iRacing’s versions, and now Sector3 is looking is for a little love.
And we’ll give it to them. Clearly, they have gone the iRacing route and recreated everything they possibly could around The Green Hell. It all looks great, especially some of the detail touches like the campers lining the track. Really looks like a race weekend.
Like the other guys versions, the RaceRoom Nordschleife is laser scanned. Also, when you purchase the Nordschleife, you’ll get it in four configurations, Nordschleife, Nordschleife Tourist, VLN, and 24h.
This is kind of neat for two reasons. First, it’s cool that you can run the “combined” circuits of the VLN and 24h. You can not in Assetto Corsa. Second, RaceRoom isn’t forcing you to buy both the Nordschleife and Nurburgring to run the combined course like iRacing does.
Like always, RaceRoom finds a way to differentiate themselves.
Sector3 hasn’t given a firm release date, but did say that it will be released in the next patch. Oh boy oh boy oh boy!
