Kunos Simulazioni has released version 0.9 of Assetto Corsa, bringing the long awaited online multiplayer to the sim. Initially planned to come out May 2nd, a single-player black screen glitch prevented the release. The development team worked 18-hour workdays fixing the issue, as well as improving the netcode for the anticipated release. Be aware that multiplayer is still in an Alpha state, and has quite a few bugs to be ironed out. Kunos is asking that all multiplayer-related bugs be reported in Assetto Corsa’s official forums.
Along with the update, a tutorial was released to help you get used to the multiplayer user interface. It is available to be watched as a GIF, or to be viewed as a PDF. You can find the tutorial here.
Also one thing worth mentioning is that, with Assetto Corsa nearing version 1.0 status, the deadline to get it at 20% off on Steam is rapidly approaching as well. You can still buy it today for $39.99, but once it reaches Gold status, the price will jump to the price of $49.99.
Are you stoked to be finally able to race Assetto Corsa with your buddies? You looking to enter any races today?
