Kunos Simulazioni has released version 0.7 of Assetto Corsa, bringing the Lotus Exos Type 125 and Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit to the simulation.
The Lotus Exos Type 125 is one of the highly anticipated cars to the service, being one of the first high speed open-wheel cars to come to the sim. It is available in 2 configurations, the standard as well as the S1 spec upgrade. Powered by a Cosworth V8 cranking out 640 horsepower, and retailing for a price tag of $1 million, the T125 was hailed as the consumer’s F1 car. For those who don’t have a million bucks to spend on a race car (even though it does include your own personal chef and trainer for a track day), this makes for a great alternative.
Some say that a race car is only as good as the track it’s raced on, and Kunos has added a great one, the Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit. Home to many exciting Formula One races, as well as being connected to the legendary Nordschleife circuit (coming to Assetto Corsa this fall), the GP circuit is a great addition to the title. The track has also been laser-scanned, getting you as close to reality as possible.
There have also been improvements to the core simulation, most notably launcher performance upgrades and the replay sizes being reduced by 25%. You can view the full changelog, as well as a gallery of photos from this latest update below.
We will be putting up a video covering the latest update, which you can expect hopefully later today.
You can buy Assetto Corsa for $39.99 on Steam.
