Only a small amount of time has passed since the release of the Early Access build of Assetto Corsa hit the virtual shelves on Steam. This was highly anticipated moment by the sim racing community and a long time in the making. Upon release the title was a little light on content but was a nice taste of what a great sim they had been building. It also came with a promise of many updates with enhancements and more content at a frequent pace.

That first update has come along and gives us all a little of everything, more cars, more tracks and enhancements to the sim. Starting off with the tracks there are two new additions to the sim.
The first is Mugello Circuit which has been created using a laser scan. It is a track that is actually owned by Ferrari and is used by them for testing as well as Moto Gp and the Touring Cars. The other track is Assetto Dorifto which is a fantasy track created for the guy who like to drive sideways. It features multiple layouts and will offer a whole new twist to racing Assetto Corsa.
On the car side of things there are 3 new ones to try out. The Pagani Zonda R
The Lotus 2 Eleven and the P4/5 Competizione which is an old time Ferrari race car.
In addition this update does include game enhancements as well. There is actually a very long list of changes, fixes and updates that can be seen on their facebook page HERE.
So in a short amount of time to see this many new cars, tracks and enhancements brings a big smile to our faces. And we are also looking forward to doing a little bit of drifting.

The P4/5 isn’t an “old time Ferrari race car”, but rather, a current take on one. It isn’t actually a Ferrari.
It was built in 2006, it is a 2004 Ferrari Enzo with a body kit and other mods by Pininfarina.
The race car was based off of the Ferrari 430 GT2… The road car was based on an Enzo. Ferrari didn’t let James Glickenhaus call it (the competizione) a Ferrari….
