The Shelby Cobra 427 Semi/Competition is essentially a purpose built race car for the road. Despite the 427 name, the big block V8 actually was 425ci, but was developed to match NASCAR’s 427 regulations. The car generates 410 horsepower and 462 ft lbs of tire destroying torque. With only 31 genuine Cobra 427 S/Cs being developed, it is truly one of the most exclusive American muscle cars around.
This release marks 0.1 of the Cobra for Assetto Corsa, so there are still kinks that need to be worked out. If there are any issues you encounter, you can report them in their thread in the Assetto Corsa forums.

I have absolutely no idea how to go about downloading and using the mod. Can someone take us through, step by step how to do this?
1. You download the file from one of the links above.
2. Since the file is a .rar file (which is similar to a .zip), you need a program to unzip it. I personally recommend 7zip, which you can download from http://www.7-zip.org.
3. Once you download 7zip, you can open the file, and you extract the 3 folders in the file to your Assetto Corsa cars folder
(by default it is C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonassettocorsacontentcars)

In reference to the instructions below, using 7-Zip (7z) on Windows 7, right-click on the downloaded file (can be rar or zip), move the mouse/pointer to the 7z menu, and select “open archive.”
Then you can see the folders inside the rar or zip file. Then using your Explorer window (leave the 7z window open), navigate to the correct directory for Assetto Corsa (or GTR2, Race 07, rFactor, etc.) and drag and drop the folders to the application’s directory. Depending on how you’re adding content, you may be asked if you wish to merge folders. You can choose to do this and “move and replace” files as needed… just be sure you know what you’re doing, and be careful. It’s not too difficult, but just be “alert” as you’re doing this.
I screwed up a couple of mod installs when I was getting sleepy. 😉

Yeah, I struggled and had to ask on forum for help, got it and now it seems easy. I did open it up and it is 3 versions of the car, I opened the gears up and tinkered with the suspension and filled it with fuel. Seems to ride better. It is a short chassis high powered car. It is a “Hoon-mobile.” Lot of fun power sliding and just spinning off into the wall. LOL
Although I now have the Cobra, I now have nothing else!!! All the (other) cars and many tracks are gone! Where did they go? How can I get them back? Don’t know what happened. HELP!
Go to Steam and verify your game info. you can click right on Assetto Corsa on steam, select properties, and go on the tab LOCAL FILES, and click on VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE.It will be restored directly from steam.
