Just as important as the Dream Pack 2 is the V1.3 update. As we already knew, the big ticket updates include the 64-bit support, reworked tire model, and improved ABS. In fact, here’s the quote from Kunos on the tire model – since it’s pretty good – and the 1.3 changelog.
With version 1.3 we now present you a completely reworked tyre model that includes new features in connection with tyre-speed sensitivity, combined grip, slip angles and ratios, load sensitivity, rolling resistance and most importantly, separated heating for surface and core temperatures. As a result, driving in Assetto Corsa is now more realistic than ever. The driving experience is more natural while at the same time also more challenging at the limit. Real-life features such as driving carefully in the first two laps to heat the tyres or taking it easy to cool down overheated tyres after a spin, the handling of the car changing from turn to turn depending on your driving style or as a result of driver errors and choosing the correct tyre compound depending on the track and car combination and also your driving style will now become part of your daily driving experience in Assetto Corsa.

So, what do you guys think of the Dream Pack 2 and update 1.3?

Have not had a chance to try it yet, it did download. So I guess all the modded cars and tracks are now useless? I can’t see how they would work until they are all updated to the new physics.
They will just keep the previous tyre model and physics, but they still work, don’t worry.
Just drove around in the Countach and the Ford GT40, both feel real good. The new tires sound is a bit overwhelming for me, but i saw there are a couple of sliders in the settings to adjust it, so I’ll do that. Cataluna road surface looks and feels “real”, not sure I love the track itself but I guess all those corners need a bit of learning before you can enjoy them. As usual, driving in AC is quite addictive. I thought I’d just drive the Countach for a couple of laps out of respect… ended up driving it for an hour. I tried the Ford GT in an a multiplayer public server and I had the feeling MP is more stable. Maybe just placebo effect?
I just got it, only for the track Catalunya, the cars as a plus, but still I think we need more famous world wide tracks instead of cars.
