BMW M235i Racing Teaser

We’ve already seen some high quality screenshots of the BMW M235i Racing – coming in the forthcoming Dream Pack – but now we get to see it in moving picture form.  Just like the Alfa Romeo teaser from earlier in the week, the BMW shows off its prowess around the Nordschleife.  As I said when we saw the screenshots, it’s a beautiful car and I cannot wait until I can take it for a Sunday drive on the little strip of asphalt known as the Green Hell.

As we previewed earlier in the week, International Endurance Racing (IER) Modding Group was close to releasing their first car pack for Assetto Corsa and now its out.  IER Car Pack 1 v0.2 features the 2014 Coyote Corvette Daytona Prototype in beta v0.41 form and the 2015 Oreca FLM09 LMPC in beta v0.21 form.  Both cars race in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship that IER is looking to recreate in Assetto Corsa.

The Corvette prototype update brings force feedback, shadowing, sound, physics, 3D model and performance updates to v0.3 of the car.  Of course its still in beta for a reason with the interior, driver animations and Dallara model still not complete.

The Oreca is brand new for Assetto Corsa and has unique features such as physics made from real life data.  It currently has known issues such as a non-finalized UV body map and front wheels that clip through the fenders.

The car pack can be downloaded here.

Surfers Paradise 2004 v1.01

Surfers Paradise 2004 02

Rainmaker has converted the popular rFactor version of Surfers Paradise from NeelJ to Assetto Corsa.  The track features such updates as AI, shadows on all objects, AC road, grass and water shader and updated lighting.  It does have known issues such as AI being dumb on lap one, turn one and the circuit being a bit too smooth for a street circuit.

You can download the track here.

Yep. One of those that if iRacing could get in the surface it would be a favourite!

I guess they need to make it less smooth and more bumpy but other than that and the AI issues, a welcome addition!

  1. Tried the tracks and car, the car is a beast. Lot of fun. Surfer’s Paradise was probably not the best track to test the track and car on. I got 2 cars too. The Corvette is like the fourth one I have downloaded in the game, did not get to it, but look forward to it.
