After announcing that Game Stock Car Extreme and Formula Truck 2013 were coming to Steam back in December, its pretty much been radio silent from Reiza Studios. But that silence was broken today as Reiza provided an update on when their titles will be coming to Steam and how the integration will work.
First, the timeline. Reiza announced that both titles are undergoing beta testing right now and will hopefully be ready by the end of the month. That’s twelve days from now for those of you keeping score at home.
Second, how will this Steam integration work? Just like iRacing, Reiza has to clarify how their arrival to Steam affects current users. Reiza’s solution will be to provide Steam keys to existing owners. Like iRacing, you’ll need to use the same email you used when you originally purchased either of the Reiza titles to tell Steam that you already purchased the game.
Reiza also decided to use today’s announcement as an opportunity to tease us with some forthcoming content. The Metalmoro MR18 was promised way back in March of last year and now we get to see it in GSCE for the first time. It’s a serious track day toy and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.
Even though Reiza’s titles aren’t playable through Steam yet, you can visit the Game Stock Car Extreme Steam page here and the Formula Truck 2013 page here.
Also want to give a shout out to the crew at Race Department who did an excellent interview with Reiza’s Renato Simioni talking all things past, present and future. Worth a read, especially if you’re interested in new content.

I like the MR18 pictured there… Might give it a look-see…
