One of the best Assetto Corsa mods just got better! the_meco and pankykapus have released version 0.5 of their Shelby Cobra for Assetto Corsa, including a variety of improvements:
- Changes to suspension
- Changes to fuel tank position
- Changes to default gearing for the S/C
- Changes to default setup (brake balance)
- Collider updated to prevent scraping
- Auto gearbox updated so car no longer gets stuck in gear
- Driver steer animation finished
- Brake disc texture fixed
- Material tweaks and improvements
- Fly cam now works in showroom
- Car made even more awesome
In addition to the latest release, final skin templates are now available, so painters get your virtual brushes ready! Note that if you have downloaded custom paints, they will need to be redownloaded to fit with the latest version.

Noob problems I can build them but I have a problem with figuring out soft ware at times, I can’t seem to find out how to get these to install. Or any of the new 3rd party content. I sure would like to get it all going. Cheers!

OK I put them there as explained. But when I open AC to go drive I see them no ware. Is there some thing else that needs to be done? Do I have to unzip them and if so I have 7zip. I would just like to enjoy some new content darn it.
Yes unzip them first.
Ok unzip them first? Well I put them in there and then unzipped them now something is wrong AC will go all the way to load the sim and then gets hung up. And won’t finishing loading. Now what, I am learning ( from you , thank you) do I delete AC off my PC and start over.? I feel lost and upset. I think that RF2 has the add on mods beat. It is so much easier there.
What version of the Shelby have you got. The latest is 0.5. Make sure that is what you have. Since the updates the newest version is needed. Once you extract you should have 3 folders:
shelby_cobra
shelby_cobra_s1
shelby_cobra_sc
Place them in Your drive#Steamsteamappscommonassettocorsacontentcars
Try first with practice to see if a car will load. See if they show up on your car select screen.
I don’t know why you’re having issues, but don’t give up this car is worth it.
See I told you I would learn. Well at least I got them to work all but one. And I am loving this car it is so awesome,when going up and this car came out I just wanted one so bad. Things just don’t work out the way you like, in the end it is all good…
