Kunos Simulazioni Hints At Upcoming Red Pack

Kunos Simulazioni hints at upcoming Red Pack for Assetto Corsa! According to Kunos, the new DLC pack is expected to drop on the 14th of July 2016!

This news comes hot on the heels of the bombshell Porsche licensing agreement. There is more than a subtle hint at the possible content and brands that may be represented in the upcoming DLC pack. Marco Massarutto and Aristotelis Vasilakos from Kunos Simulazioni tweeted a link to a special YouTube video featuring the late Maria Teresa De Filippos, the first woman to race in Formula 1. For perspective, the late great Juan Manuel Fangio once told Maria that she drove too fast!

As of today, we now know that at least one Lamborghini will be making its way into the new Red Pack from Kunos! The image below of what looks to be an Aventador was just posted on the official Assetto Corsa twitter account.

The Maserati 250F

The pictured Maserati 250F, of which only twenty six examples were made, was one of the most iconic F1 cars of its time! The Maserati 250F competed for the F1 championship in forty six races between 1954 and 1960. The car was driven to eight victories by possibly two of the greatest drivers of any era, Juan Manuel Fangio and Sir Stirling Moss.

For a further hint, Stefano Casillo from Kunos, tweeted ”Just to give you an idea of what’s coming your way with the ” and posted a link to this very cool video from 2014 of the Maserati 250F hammering around Monaco during the historic Grand Prix.

Lastly, an image of the Red Bull Ring in Austria was posted with a very prominent DRS board in the foreground. The DRS sign may hint at the possible inclusion of some current era F1 machinery. DRS or Drag Reduction System is deployed on straights and boosts the car’s straight-line speed. Kunos Simulation are certainly firing on all cylinders, the upcoming Red Pack will hopefully include many of the most iconic Italian racing cars of the past and present eras. We are looking forward to more news as it is released, stay tuned folks!
