We’ve seen many videos created where You Tubers grab a real lap at a track and edit together a Real versus Virtual lap in one of the many racing simulators on the market. Have we ever seen a head to head shoot out, at a track in real time ? I thought this was really cool and it’s the former Stig Ben Collins driving the new Ford Focus ST going head to head against Krisztian Somodi who’s running in this (image below) GT pod that we’ve seen over the past few years and it has a Thrustmaster T500 wheel and pedal set in it. This took place at the Goodwood festival of speed a few weeks back.
Watch below to see if real driver beats the virtual driver.

That fancy of a rig and no triple screens? That would have made it a fair comparison, closer at least, then he would not have been using the view that is on top of the roof. Plus they should use the same driver. But it was cool to see the finish so close. The games are getting pretty accurate.
I saw Jann Mardenborough driving in a pod with three screen setup in Goodwood.
