The forth coming title from Ubisoft, “The Crew” that is set to release on December 2nd 2014 has another closed beta for the new gen consoles this week. This will be the second closed beta for the Playstation 4 and XBox One and will run from November 6th through the 10th. I will personally be trying it on both consoles running the Thrustmaster TX on the XBox One and the T300 RS on the Playstation 4. This will be my first true go at it besides trying it briefly at E3 in 2013 . How would you like to try it with me ? I have three codes to give away and will do so randomly.

If you’re interested in getting one of the three codes I have available, post here in this thread and I will pick three at random to join me by the end of day tomorrow November 4th. This is for the Playstation 4 or XBox One only.

If you post in the comments section below, I have no way of getting a hold of you to give you the code. Please use this forum link to participate. Only criteria is that you are a member of our forums.

Here’s more info on “The Crew” if you’re not familiar with it.

The Crew

The Crew is an open and persistent world for racing across the United States. It can take 45 minutes to drive from coast to coast in-game. Players can participate in mini-games called skills that are peppered across the world. They are triggered when a player drives through them and it involves completing challenges such as weaving through gates and staying as close to a racing line for a period of time. Players’ scores are automatically saved so friends can try and beat their scores, in similar fashion to how Reivals works with Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Horizon 2. Missions can be played alone, with friends, or with online co-op matchmaking. The multiplayer mode allows a maximum of eight players to compete in races and other types of games. Players are also able to customize cars and there’s a wide variety to choose from.

The Crew creative director Julian Gerighty has called the game a role-playing game with large-scale multiplayer elements. The multiplayer is not separate from the single-player.  Players can form “crews” to race together or against ghost players.

Though the player can play alone, the game will require an internet connection to play

The crew will be available for the PC, Playstation 4 and XBox One on December 2nd.

  1. That is uber-cool looking. Loved the “Early 2014” release date… But seriously it looks really cool. Wish I had an xbox one or a ps4. Need a different wheel for those too, so I will be waiting for the PC version.

  2. is there any way Darin that u can also test for 15 minutes the Thrustmaster T100 on gameplay in The Crew PS4 beta? I mean i dont need u to make a video of it and share it , just test it personally and leave an answer as a reply for me in here. I want to know if it works in gameplay (i dont care about menus) and if it has decent Force Feedback and a good response.

I need to buy a PS4 wheel at a decent price like T100, and i want to use it in The Crew and Project Cars (Project Cars already stated that is officially supported on PS4). Thank u in advance!
