DTM Experience Test Drive – Audi @ Nurburgring

Presenting a test drive of DTM Experience by SimBin Studios. This test drive is performed by our new blogger William Marsh. This is his first time doing a video like this and I think he did a good job with it. I also echo his opinion on this title.

He takes the Audi DTM car out for a few laps of practice at the Nurburgring track and talks about the physics, sounds, graphics and a few other things.

We hope you enjoy this test drive and let us know what else you would like to see.

  1. Did you notice that you HIT pretty hard trunk of the other car. 🙂 I think thats the reason why you lost your transmission. 😉 But game look’s nice, Good Review. Keep it coming.

A little clarification on the issue I feel is needed, with me not explaining it well. That is the FIFTH time the transmission failed on me in the title.
Free practice, race, failed with AI, without AI, with and without heel and toeing. So if it also fails without contact, that’s what gets me concerned…

      1. i posted both in the forums and on the videos , i understand that gearbox damage is an issue for you , but this can be avoided by setting up the aspects of the car as close to real life as possible , seeing as the back end of the game is based on r3e and that the get real mode with mechanical damage on means that you need to rev match and clutch pretty much perfectly on up/down shifts to avoid damage … a dtm car is pretty much an auto clutch box with a launch button/paddle for getting of the line after that there is no clutch pedal … so imho , turn auto clutch on and the issue is solved (yes maybe simbin should have mentioned this or had this as the fixed option ) i like i have the choice and i can now (with loads of practice ) get through a race without exploding the box , but im much slower …; A lot of people also try to drive the car as they would in a leader board /hot lap situation , even in the get real setting for the leaderboard the car has no mech damage as the setting , so if you repeat this action lap after lap you will kill the engine or box at some point

Anyway good luck for the future , keep the vids coming , but try to get the facts like or people will pick up on it and then the conversation drags on 😉

    Hi,
nice to see a DTM First Look.
You have to choose the Automatik Clutch in the Options or you must push the clutch manually.
When you are shift down to fast the Engine will be blowing up, too. Chassi Damage is also working.
But the best new Thing is the Adaptive AI, after driving some Laps/Races, they will adaptive your driving skills.

oh, didn’t saw the second Vid. If you want, try out this Settings to drive faster Laps.
    Steering Translation – 10:1 to 12:1
Rotation Range of the Wheel max. 360°
If you are driving a Thrustmaster like i, you only have to deactivate the inverted Force Feedback
