November 25th Assetto Corsa Mod Round Up

With the release of version 1.0 of Assetto Corsa earlier this month, its been a busy time for the mod community.  Lets get you up to speed with the latest releases/previews from the modding community.

Barbagallo Raceway V1.0 by Darren Blythe

Darren Blythe has released a fantastic looking recreation of Barbagallo Raceway, a popular Australian track in Wanneroo on the country’s west coast.  Barbagallo is a yearly stop on the V8 Supercar schedule thanks in part to its racey layout.

Darren spent over six months and 1,000 hours building the track from scratch.  Show Darren you appreciate his effort and download the track here.

Ginetta G55 GT4

The Ginetta G55 GT4 mod from Bzyq has now progressed from early stage testing to open beta in version 0.5.  Version 0.5 features:

– Corrected Final drive ratio

– Corrected values for aero ( Work in progress )

– Corrected Driver Eyes position

– Corrected mirror render position

– Corrected hide object in driver3d.ini

While these features were added in this update, there are still many things on the “to do” list.  This includes:

– hand/driver animation

– there’s only one LOD

– dirt textures

– damage

– sounds (placeholder from Lotus evora gx)

– car physics (could be better – if You want to help, please contact with us)

– tires physics (like in upper line – You know how to do that better? contact us)

– driver seat and a lot of elements from interior.

Lamborghini Miura P400SV

Version 0.8.1 of the Lamborghini Miura P400SV mod has been released to the community.  The mod from Vampire, the_meco (creator of the Shelby Cobra mod), pankykapus and AmplifiedNL is utilizing placeholder V8 sounds, but beyond that, is looking REAL polished.

Mazda 787B

AssiPazz has released a few new preview shots of the Mazda 787B mod for Assetto Corsa.  While the car isn’t quite ready to be released, its looking closer than ever.

Endurance Racing X GT

United Racing Design has released version 0.99 of their Enduracne Racing X GT mod.  The payware mod – that can be purchased here for €9.80 – features five GT cars, the Arthur Merlin, Bayro E5, Darche EGT and Venom EGT.  Version 0.99 update can be seen below:

– Fmod sounds

– materials corrections

– physics is packed into data.acd files

– added physical damage

– updated tyre physics

– various small changes in suspensions, engines and drivetrains

– some balance fixes for more challenging experience between all cars

– working Pit Stops
