Polyphony Digital has released the 1.10 update for Gran Turismo 6, which also adds 2 new cars to the Vision GT catalog. The NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 and Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo are now available to be purchased in the Vision GT section, or by completing a lap (regardless of time) in their corresponding seasonal events.

In addition to the new cars, there is now increased customization of the cars. More of the cars in the game are now compatible with the car numbers feature, allowing you to pick your favorite one. Brake calipers on the “Race” upgrade are now able to be painted as well (note not ALL cars support this yet).

Another addition (well, reduction) is the removal of the “Engine Brake Reduction Control” on Formula cars. While it helped prevent spinning out in corners, people didn’t like the “automatic throttle” assist, so PD removed it.

This update will be available next time you boot up Gran Turismo 6 on your Playstation 3. Which Vision GT car are you most excited about driving? Let us know!

In other Gran Turismo news, Gran Turismo TV has released Rise After Falling, a video chronicling Kazunori Yamauchi driving the 24H of Nurburgring. The #24 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 car, piloted by Yamauchi, was involved in a severe crash during qualifying, that nearly eliminated them from the race before it even began. However, after 21 hours straight of hard work, the car was repaired, and wheeled to a 14th place overall finish! It is a very well done video, and definitely worth the watch.
