Polyphony Digital isn’t sitting on their hands these days. Following the fairly substantial update 1.16 for Gran Turismo 6 from just a few weeks ago comes update 1.17 featuring three new ‘Gran Turismo Vision’ vehicles, the LEXUS LF-LC GT “Vision Gran Turismo”,“Alpine Vision Gran Turismo” and “Alpine Vision Gran Turismo Race Mode.”

While I haven’t been a fan of all the GT Vision cars, these three are actually pretty good looking. The Lexus takes the design of its already bold LF-LC concept and turns up the volume to ‘race’. More body kit is always better right? I am diggin the livery with the neon looking river that flows across the body. Pretty cool.
On the other-end of the spectrum is French manufacturer Alpine with their very concept (can I even call it a car?) Alpine Vision Gran Turismo in both regular and Race Mode. While both look anything but street legal, they do show off styling cues that will be appearing on future Alpines beginning in 2016. I’m rooting for those headlights to make the transition from concept to production myself. It would also be cool if those body side brakes make it as well but those may be a little too futuristic for today’s world.

Both cars can be purchased in-game or earned by competing in any of the new Seasonal Events (for a limited time…but not sure how long that time is so do it now!).
Besides the three new GT Vision cars, update 1.17 also comes with a bug fix to the newly introduced B-spec mode from update 1.16 that snuck in.

I did jump on long enough to get the cars. The Alpines are cool, they have interiors, but the Lexus has none. Always disappointing that they don’t have the Vision to put in another cars interior at minimum.
