The Thrustmaster T500RS ranks as one of the top hardware package deals in sim racing. However, a lot of people aren’t a fan of the potentiometer-based brake pedal. New forum user madrifter decided to take matters in his own hands, and make his own load cell braking system to fit in the pedal set. For £50, you can’t really go wrong!
madrifter used a 25kg micro load cell for the brake pedal, as well as a homemade load cell amplifier. As a result, he has a fully functioning DIY load cell for his T500RS. Be sure to drop by madrifter’s forum thread, and give him some props!
His next project is a DIY hydraulic handbrake, which will definitely be one to check out.
