Image Space Incorporated has released the 1991 Honda NSX for rFactor 2, the second road car to be released in the past year. This car was released as a collaboration with Siim Annuk (also known as Some1), who is also releasing a version of his car to Assetto Corsa.
Some1 made some of the most popular road car mods for rFactor, and the last car was the Honda NSX. Featuring physics designed by Niels Heusinkveld, the car was released to wide acclaim throughout the community for having an extremely realistic road feel. His other two popular mods for rFactor are the Chevrolet Corvette C6 (also coming to rFactor 2 in the future) and the Toyota Supra Mk IV.
One thing worth mentioning is that this is also not just some quick port job. The amount of work put into this car is immense, and it looks to take full advantage of the rFactor 2 engine. There are two configurations of the NSX, comprising of the standard road car and the race-ready NSX-R. Inside those two configurations are multiple sub-configurations, allowing for TWENTY-EIGHT different options for this car! You are able to choose from different engines, suspension packages, gearing, tires, and more.

I love what ISI is doing with the third party developers, to give us some of the high quality content many racers are looking for. This allows us to be able to expand on what we’re able to drive, and shows off what modders are capable of. Hopefully this will help spark more content being developed for rFactor 2.
Have you given the NSX a spin in rFactor 2? What tracks would you recommend to take the car to? Let us know in the comments!

I downloaded the demo to see if I liked the game, and I did not. The steering was dead in the middle and the entire game looked, sounded and felt dated. Well outdated. There were some good things in the game and although I did not spend more than about 2 hours figuring out what did what and racing the ais. The triple screens did work, and I could move the fov, so that I could see decently.
I like rf2 but ISI haven’t done a good work for G27…in Assetto corsa,Game stock car,RRR3 i really enjoy my G27 but in rf2 not…that’s only my problem and the reason i don’t play at all this game 🙁
Although when I play rF2 on max settings I think it looks quite beautiful, every time I switch to AC or pCars it feels like taking a breath of fresh air. Must be a DirectX thing. Sounds, too, are not all that exciting in rF2, which is a shame, because good audio is key to immersion. But I disagree when you say rF2 feels dated. The handling, and the game’s feedback to the wheel (at least to a T500RS; I didn’t know about the G27 troubles) is, IMO, truly the best of the best. Moreover, or because of that, and most importantly, rF2 is the most successful at providing that exhilarating race sensation.
Demos are not usually as good as the paid for game, but I was not sold.
You should try to spend more time with it considering rFactor 2 has some of the most raw and alive physics (arguably the most) and definitely FFB in the entire industry. Something is definitely not right on your end. If you are new to racing sims then I would definitely spend more time with it and give it a better chance considering many people consider rF2 to have the best or one of the best physics in all of simracing, and most people agree that it has the very best FFB in all of simracing.
The sounds definitely are pretty good 🙂

I have no problems on iRacing, R3E, Assetto Corsa, Simraceway, on PC nor GT 5 & 6 on PS3. My GTX780 3 gb video card, triple ASUS VG248QE’s and G27 are all working great. I have been racing since ’98 so I have seen a few games over the years.
I use Tritton 720+ headphones and the sounds are not that great. Better than some, but not great.
