For those of you that want to check out the first official iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona, I’ve posted the broadcast information below. Our team (Inside Sim Racing) is currently sitting on the pole in the GT3 class running a BMW Z4 and based on our starting drivers iRating, we should be in this split. I’m personally schedule to be the fourth driver in the car and will be running some of the late night stints since I’m on the West Coast in the U.S. John Sabol our primary blogger here at ISR is running right before me.
Here’s all the info and make sure to tune into the proper You Tube link that depends on the time. They are broken into 4 hour sessions.
RaceSpot TV are proud to present coverage of the iRacing 24 Hours of Daytona, the first officially sanctioned 24 Hour broadcasted race on iRacing. Drivers will take on the deceptively difficult Daytona Road Course in a day long battle for glory and bragging rights; the right to call themselves a 24H champion.
The event marks the first of four endurance events from the iRacing Road Warrior Series covered by RaceSpot TV. In March, we head to Sebring, and in October, it’s the return of the iRacing Petit Le Mans, followed by the iRacing Bathurst 1000 one week later. In addition, RaceSpot TV will also be covering the 6th Annual iRacing Indianpolis 500
Our Coverage
Coverage will start at 1PM GMT (8AM ET), and we’ll be on air throughout the course of the event, with some of the best Sim Racing commentators in the business. We’ll also be engaging with fans, teams and drivers throughout the course of the race.
Like we did for the 24 Hours of Spa, we shall be streaming the race in multiple parts. This is simply an administrative thing, meaning that as much of the race is available to watch on demand as possible, as Youtube only allows a 4 Hour DVR window. The links you need are as follows (Hour timings subject to change):
Part 1- 13:00 – 18:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56nei4u586o
Part 2- 18:00 – 23:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAOksyM3Ovc
Part 3- 23:00 – 04:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsEuWyb3xPM
Part 4- 04:00 – 09:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUgx5R0WN98

Live Timing & Scoring: http://www.racespot.tv/timing/
We aim to have commentary for the entire 24 hours, though there may be some breaks in commentary along the way. We will ensure that we keep the cameras on throughout the event, and not do a FOX Sports showing a commentary booth for an hour!!! We shall be using Side by Side Coverage for commercials for the first 6 hours and last 6 hours for definite, and possibly for more of the race as well.
IF things goto plan, we’ll be rolling out a new graphics package for the event, which we have been working on over the winter. This is the basis for our 2015 TV Overlay, which continues to be the most intuitive, and user friendly in Sim Racing. We’re also working on an endurance mini site, to tie our coverage of the 4 Road Warrior Series Endurance events together. More details should be posted in the coming days.

We’d love to talk to as many teams, drivers and fans over the course of the event as possible. It’d be great to get you all on air, and give you a chance to talk to racefans around the world! If you want to come and have a chat, just hop on over. Just remember that as this is an iRacing official broadcast, please use appropriate language.

A 24 Hour race is tough on the drivers and teams, but also on the commentators, so please feel free to contact us! I shall be doing a couple of ‘Ask Us Anything’ segments over the course of the race, and we’ll attempt to ask teams and drivers questions when we have a chance to nab them. We also will show some of the best tweets out over the course of the event, including photos if you have them!
