The Basic Training videos have done an excellent job of bringing iRacing rookies up to speed to the service, but like all good things, they must come to an end. As the last Basic Training video, Chapter 10 looks back at where iRacing and sim racing in general came from and where it could be going in the future. The service certainly has changed a lot over the past six years and will certainly be different six years from now, hopefully for the better.
In a bit of a “whoops” moment, some iRacing members noticed white painted rims on the Super Late Model at the 20 sec mark of the video. After a flurry of forum activity, iRacing’s Greg Hill responded with a forum post confirming paintable rims in next weeks build and showed off some previews. Paintable matte or chrome wheels will be available on the BMW Z4 GT3 (new for Season 2), Chevrolet Impala Class B, Chevrolet Impala-COT, Chevrolet National Impala, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet SS-Gen6, Ford Fusion-Gen6, Ford Mustang Class B, McLaren MP4-12C GT3, Ruf RT 12R AWD, Ruf RT 12R C-Spec, Ruf RT 12R RWD, Ruf RT 12R Track Super Late Model and Toyota Camry-Gen6 (new for Season 2).
